Presents New Scholarship for Alumni

Study at LIU’s Southampton Campus or New Riverhead Location

To help students further their college education and increase their earning potential, the Southampton Graduate Campus of Long Island University is offering its alumni a one-third tuition discount on its master’s degree programs.

Beginning in September 2006, the Alumni Scholarship will be awarded to anyone holding a Southampton Campus of Long Island University degree. The award is applicable to all master’s level courses taken at the Southampton Graduate Campus of Long Island University or at the University’s new Riverhead site. There is no limit on the number of courses that can be taken at the one-third discount. Classes begin September 5, 2006.

“Long Island University is committed to offering educational excellence to its students on the East End of Long Island,” said Jennifer Browne, associate provost of Long Island University’s Southampton Graduate Campus and new Riverhead location. “With this new scholarship, we can further our commitment to help Southampton graduates acquire even more learning opportunities.”

The Southampton Graduate Campus is one of six campuses of Long Island University, which educates 27,000 students in Brooklyn, Brookville (C.W. Post Campus), Brentwood, Rockland, Southampton and Westchester. Known for its small classes and excellent faculty, the Southampton Graduate Campus offers Master’s degrees in Childhood Education, Teaching Students with Disabilities, and Literacy Education, as well as an extensive continuing education program.

Programs at Long Island University’s new Riverhead site (located in the Montaukett Building of Suffolk County Community College’s Eastern Campus) includes master’s degrees in Childhood Education, Teaching Students with Disabilities, and Literacy Education as well as new on-line Master’s degree in Homeland Security Management, an Advanced Certificate in Homeland Security Management, and courses toward the NASPAA-accredited Master of Public Administration degree.

The Alumni Scholarship is subject to terms and conditions.
