Reverend Osagyefo Uhuru Sekou to Speak at College's Wood Hall

Reverend Osagyefo Uhuru Sekou, author of "Urban Souls," (Urban Press, 2001) will hold a public lecture and book signing on Friday, April 4 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Southampton College's Chester C. Wood Hall.

A resident of Washington, D.C., Osagyefo Uhuru Sekou, an ordained Baptist minister, actor, counselor, educator, author and social activist, is considered one of the preeminent experts on the urban youth crisis in America. He has lectured throughout the country on various issues affecting today's youth.

The talk, sponsored by Southampton College's Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), is part of a series of literary events that honor and recognize the voices of African-American writers.
