Southampton College's own John McCrudden, Director of the Career Center, will host "Careers on the East End," a cable access show on the new Education and Government Channel. The show will air every Sunday at 9 p.m. and repeat every Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. on Cablevision channel 22 in Southampton Town.

The program will address how to have a successful career, with a special emphasis on industries and occupations on the East End. The show is set up in a talk format, interviewing leading members of the community to give perspective on the most current career issues, including the importance of a college education and competing for prospective jobs. The next episode of the show will focus on public service jobs in the area.

This is the College's debut show on the new channel, which is the result of a partnership between local town and village governments, Cablevision and Southampton College. The station will be assisted by Southampton College students and faculty, with a goal of maintaining a full schedule of educational and governmental access programming for the community. Future programming may consist of government board meetings, ESL classes, public hearings, high school and college sporting events, lectures and more.
